Been thinking about this one for ages. AR smart glasses, but not the clunky sci-fi kind, just a simple, lightweight pair that actually make sense in the real world. The idea’s pretty straightforward: most of what we do with screens could be done in mid-air. Watches, phones, laptops, they’re mostly just glass rectangles showing us software. Why not lose the glass?

With AR, you just project the screen where you’d normally look. Want to check the time? Look at your wrist and it’s there. Need a second monitor? Stick one above your desk. It’s all the same stuff, just without the physical screen getting in the way.

The glasses themselves are minimal, nothing flashy, just clean lines and a comfy fit. Processing power’s always the issue with these things, but that’s where cloud computing comes in. Offload the heavy lifting to a server somewhere else and keep the device light and quiet. As long as you’ve got solid internet, you’re sorted.

Still early days, but they feel like a natural step forward. Not trying to replace your phone overnight, just rethink how and where you use it. Little steps.
